Proposal. Our methodology begins with our proposal, in which we meticulously gather information to define the business problem and the scope of work required to solve that problem. With the client, we establish objectives and the criteria that will define success. We consider all the risks and constraints and then present the plan that we feel will best meet the client’s challenge.
Discovery. We engage in a business analysis effort to determine the feasibility of the solution within the client’s workplace and to ensure that our technical strategies are aligned with the client company’s business strategies. This is a key point in our methodology for obtaining a clear view of our client’s business. We develop a proof of concept, complete with documentation that illustrates process flow, relationships of data, and usage. We also look for any gaps in the client’s current IT system—as well as in our proposed system—and identify a ranked list of options to close those gaps, with a recommended solution.
Project managers now begin executing our recommended solutions monitoring and controlling its construction, and planning each phase of development.
Design. We produce a technical design in conjunction with our business analysis, creating a blueprint for the databases, business processes and rules, the user interface and the technical architecture to be employed.
Development is the next step. We develop the application code and test it thoroughly. Our client is actively involved in reviewing the software as it is developed to ensure that it is meeting their expectations.
Deployment. Once all coding has proved successful and feasible, we deploy the solution across the client organization. After the application has been rolled out, we compile lessons learned in relation to the needs and intricacies of the specific client’s business to speed application development or extension when the client’s requirements change in the future.
Finally, arrangements can be made for Skyline to support the application on an ongoing basis, an arrangement that numerous Skyline clients have found to be valuable.
