Skyline Technologies First Food Drive a Huge Success!

A little bit of friendly competition has proven to be a good thing in the Green Bay and Appleton offices of Skyline Technologies. Skyline just wrapped up their first-ever food drive to benefit the Salvation Army and the results were amazing! After hearing ongoing reports of the hard times facing the food banks this holiday season, Skyline decided to organize a food drive to help. Nearly 100 Skyline associates were split into four teams to spark some competition and drive donations. “The competition got pretty intense at times but overall we had a lot of fun and everyone recognized and embraced the common goal of gathering as much food as possible to help the hungry in our communities” said Michele Yahr, Skyline’s Marketing and Public Relations Manager.

The response to the need for food was phenomenal with nearly four tons of food collected. “The display of food at both Skyline locations is amazing and has helped our associates to see just how big of an impact they are making this holiday season,” said Yahr. “I can’t believe what a wonderful group of Associates and clients we have here.” In a creative effort to boost their team totals, Skyline employees contacted many clients and business partners and asked them to join in their efforts. Donations were received from many including Elmstar Electric, Bridge Business Partners, Air Wisconsin, LaserNet, AH West Group, Rogers Benefits Group, Frank’s Dinner Theater, Peterson, Burk & Cross, Visionex and many others. The food collected was given to the Salvation Army in Green Bay and Appleton for their hot meals program and food pantries. Both Salvation Army chapters were thrilled to receive the 7,800 pounds of food and indicated that Skyline was definitely able to make a difference!
