Goodwill Industries Overview: Goodwill Industries helps people with barriers to employment learn the skills to find competitive employment. Goodwill needed a tool to provide consistent communication with their employees. Skyline developed an intranet site that focuses heavily on the sharing of information and ease of use. The site is named “GWiz” to promote the online information wizard concept – one place where employees can go to find answers to all of their questions. Goodwill wanted their intranet to reinforce their brand and help build a sense of belonging to the organization for their employees so their site is heavily branded to look and act more like a public website. Technology: .NET, SQL Server, SharePoint 2010 Services Provided: Custom Development, SharePoint Installation, SharePoint Configuration   WG&R Furniture Overview: WG&R is Northeast Wisconsin's largest furniture and mattress retailer The WG&R family consists of 3 unique retail channels - WG&R Furniture, WG&R Sleep Shop, and WG&R Sleep Center. WG&R selected Skyline Technologies to install SharePoint 2010 and to build the main structure of their intranet which consisted of only four department pages. Once this structure was established, WG&R staff was able to build out the remaining department pages and add the content allowing them to get their site up and running very quickly. The goals of the project were to: Improve documentation and communication company-wide (across many locations). Be able to search for various documents and information faster and more accurately with the use of metadata and content types. Reduce the number of copies of documents that were saved and disbursed via email Provide the help desk with a list of issues that can be maintained. SoftwareONE selected Skyline Technologies to implement their intranet, which is available in 16 different languages, on the SharePoint 2010 platform. The deliverables of this project were to: Design and build the company intranet so SoftwareONE could add and manage content. Create a custom dashboard that displays content from the site based on the country for which the user is associated. Provide a method for select items to automatically be displayed on the home page and be posted to other libraries and lists throughout the site. Create custom search scopes Utilize a custom master page to highlight the brand Customize My Sites to: Allow users to request a mentor and mentors to accept or decline the requests. Mentor information is then shared on the My Sites for all users to view. Allow planned, achieved, and expiredrtifications to be managed through My Sites, including a notification and automated approval process. Include additional fields in the user profile for which users can add details about themselves.
