Skyline is an IT consulting and services business that works closely with Microsoft and Amazon Web Services (AWS).  We partner with them to enable our mutual client’s transition to the cloud. 

What your typical day looks like:

The Partner Program Liaison is the key go between relationship focal point between Skyline and our partners.  This role makes a difference by understanding Skyline’s and our Partners' business models – and then connecting the organizations to better serve our clients.  You will interact frequently with our Partner Development Managers (at Microsoft and Amazon).  You will explore and evaluate partner programs and then translate them into tactics for execution with the entire Skyline organization.  You will learn our partner’s marketing and lead generation initiatives and align them with Skyline’s which will result in exceptional lead management, data quality, and lead nurturing.

In this role, you will utilize systems internally and externally to advance leads, opportunities and wins.  Skyline’s brand within the Microsoft and Amazon partner networks will grow as a result. You will not be micro-managed in this role as you are a confident, competent person who has exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.  You are a strong team player, able to handle multiple projects, and are self-motivated.

 Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze, develop and track best practices for channel partner program expansion regarding investment programs, deal registration, value-based competencies, incentive programs and promotional campaigns.
  • Develop the business plan for joint selling.  Manage all Partner related programs.
  • Maintain partner sales pipeline including sales forecasts, competitive analysis, market trends, and territory opportunity.
  • Coordinate Go-to-Market activities with marketing.
  • Communicate partner product launches & feature releases with our sales team and clients.
  • Present Partner Vision to the organization and executing organization-wide Partner initiatives.
  • Build and manage executive relationships with partner contacts.
  • Ensure competency requirements are met.

Metrics that Matter

  • Partner revenue ($’s) from incentive programs.
  • Marketing revenue ($’s) from incentive programs.
  • Skyline leads(#), opportunities (#), and revenue ($) that result from partner referrals.
  • Number of projects executed with our partners (called Co-Sell). 
  • Completed business plan with Partner Development Managers at MS and AWS. (2x per year)
  • Quarterly review of partner strategies, product roadmaps, and market trends with Skyline leadership.

What we look for (minimum requirements)

  • You are relationship driven with a confident presence and proven ability to build credibility with partners, industry peers, and associates, combined with an extensive network and a solid reputation for developing and driving successful partner relationships.
  • Ability to develop and implement partner business plans that drive partner revenue goals.

Bonus if you…

  • Have understanding and experience in the Microsoft or AWS Partner Ecosystem and of the programs and tools highly desired.
