Appleton Community Leader Named Microsoft Regional Director

Greg Levenhagen, Principal Consultant with Skyline Technologies and Appleton Community Leader, was recently named one of 150 Microsoft Regional Directors.
Microsoft recently awarded Appleton resident, Greg Levenhagen, their prestigious Regional Director designation for his proven cross-platform expertise, community leadership, and commitment to business results.
“It’s really a recognition of what I’ve already been doing and I don’t plan on stopping, but enhancing,” Levenhagen said of the designation. “I hope it will make it easier for me to further enable businesses, clients, consumers and individuals to be successful in their use of technology.”
Levenhagen joins 150 global Regional Directors who are responsible for representing the needs and expectations of their communities in helping Microsoft shape the future with their products and solutions. Competition for admission into this global program is intense. As part of his role, he will have direct access to Microsoft engineers and the senior leadership team - including Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft.
Established in 1993, the program consists of 150 of the world's top technology visionaries hand-picked by other directors and senior leaders at Microsoft to serve a two-year term in a non-paid advisory capacity.
Regional Directors are known for keynoting at top industry events, leading community groups and local initiatives, running technology-focused companies, or consulting on and implementing the latest breakthrough within a multinational corporation.
Levenhagen is also a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP). He is passionate about giving back to the community and teaching, including substituting at universities. A true enthusiast of computer science, he speaks at conferences including ThatConference, CodeMash, VSLive and Code PaLOUsa. He is also a board member of ThatConference, president of the Milwaukee Code Camp, president of the Northeast WI Code Camp, president of the Northeast WI Developers User Group, co-organizer of the Fox Valley Game Development Meetup, co-organizer of the MidwestAzureUser Group, organizer of MobileMKE, cofounder of the Northeast WIAgile User Group, IEEE member, ACM member, and a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT).
