Professional Scrum Master (PSM) Training and Certification

This training is intended for individuals who wish to become effective Scrum Masters or are responsible for ensuring a software development team’s efficiency and effectiveness. 

The two day in-person class dives deep into the principles and empirical process theory underpinning the Scrum framework. These are the foundational insights upon which the rules and roles of Scrum are based.

Specific focus is centered around the Scrum Master role, including advanced tools for servant-leadership, behavioral shifts, working with people and teams, coaching, facilitation, and scaling Scrum.

Who Should Attend:

The course is targeted towards individuals with the following organizational accountabilities:

  • Introducing Scrum into their organization
  • Running a team using Scrum

 Roles may include:  Scrum Masters, Manager, Scrum Team Members

Assessment and Certification:

The Professional Scrum Master course prepares students to take the Professional Scrum Master level I (PSM I) and Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) assessments.

As part of the course, participants receive access to the Professional Scrum Master level I assessment (PSM I).  Participants that pass the assessment will be added to a public list of certificate holders that is maintained by  Additionally, students are entitled to a discount on the PSM II assessment.

In addition, Microsoft® uses the PSM I assessment to validate knowledge as part of its Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) competencies.

Future Class Offerings:

Skyline will offer training four times annually at a variety of locations throughout Wisconsin.  Notifications of dates and times will be published 12 weeks in advance of each course.
